Rural
Development Programme 2014-2020

Mid and East Antrim Local Action Group has been set up to manage and deliver the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 across Ballymena, Carrickfergus and Larne.

The LAG received £4.19m from the European Agriculture Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), which is managed by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD).

£3.3m is available for the funding of local rural projects across the 5 measures of Rural Business Investment, Village Renewal, Basic Services, Broadband and Cooperation.

The funding will be used to enhance rural Mid and East Antrim by creating jobs, improving infrastructure and developing services in local areas.

The first Call for applications is expected to be in early 2016. Calls will only be open to people who have attended funding workshops. Please explore our website to find out more.
